How do I transfer to WTS?

Step 1: Talk to Admissions

Use the form above to contact the WTS Admissions team. Your admissions representative will be your primary point of contact throughout the transfer process.

We can help you determine which credits transfer and which program is the best for you.

Step 2: Start an Application

You will begin by applying to the program you plan to transfer into. At WTS, we have a specific application for the MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a general application for our other MAs, Graduate Certificates, and the MDiv.

Step 3: Provide WTS With Your Unofficial Transcript

Your admissions representative will work with you and the WTS Registrar to determine which of your credits will transfer.

You will need to provide transcripts, and you may be asked to provide other resources to help determine which requirements your credits meet.

Step 4: Submit and Complete Application

Once the Admissions team communicates to you which credits will be accepted by WTS, you will need to complete your application.

Confirmation of which credits will be accepted is not the same as an admissions decision.

Step 5: Schedule a Conversation With Drew

At our best, Western is relational. Therefore, we aim to care for you and your story beyond the application. One way to do this is through a conversation with Drew Brown, Western's Director of Admissions. He wants to hear about your hopes and dreams for seminary; this is not an interview, but an opportunity to embody the relational connection Western aspires to! Step 6: Admissions Decision Provided

Once you submit your completed application, Admissions will review it and provide you with an admissions decision.

Step 7: Financial Aid Awarded

Over 80% of WTS students receive financial aid and scholarships, including transfer students. Once you are accepted, admissions will let you know what scholarship and financial aid options are available to you.
